Sustainability

AHAVA operates under its NATURAL ELEMENTS sustainability programme — a commitment to the Dead Sea that goes beyond responsible sourcing. The Dead Sea is shrinking. It has been for decades, at a rate of roughly one metre per year, due to water diversion from the Jordan River and industrial evaporation further north. AHAVA is acutely aware of what it means to build a brand on a body of water that requires protection.

Our extraction rights are exclusive and strictly managed. The process uses natural solar evaporation — the same method the Dead Sea uses to concentrate its own minerals — with no chemical intervention and no ecological damage to the shoreline or the water. We take what nature offers through its own process, and not a drop more.

AHAVA pioneered a natural wastewater treatment system at its Dead Sea facilities, removing the need for chemical waste disposal in a sensitive ecological zone. The company actively supports local communities and research efforts focused on preserving the Dead Sea for future generations.

Sustainability for AHAVA isn't a campaign. It's a condition of doing business at one of the most extraordinary natural sites on Earth. We don't just source from the Dead Sea. We're accountable to it.
